Courtney Barry, Global Manager of Campaigns at Tourism Australia is part of the team responsible for marketing Australia to the world. Tourism Australia’s marketing team has overarching responsibility for the creation and development of brand assets for the organisation’s global campaigns including the most recent Dundee campaign- a mock Crocodile Dundee movie trailer, starring Paul Hogan and Chris Hemsworth, which gained worldwide buzz in the lead up to the US Superbowl. The campaign reached more than 890 million people on social media, received 12,000 media mentions and achieved an estimated advertising value of $74 million. Courtney joined Tourism Australia in January 2012 and prior to this honed her marketing skills in the advertising industry while working across a number of diverse brands and industries including Optus, David Jones, Moccona and Qantas.
