Following the success of the ASMEX 2023 Superyacht Conference, Day Two of ASMEX 2023 started early with delegates and guests boarding the bus for the ‘Gold Coast Industry Tour & Networking Activities’.

Their first stop was The Boat Works in Coomera where the group were taken on a tour of the onsite Marine Trade Supplies & Chandlery.  Attendees went onto visit Element Concepts, where they learned about the company’s success in the manufacture of carbon game towers from Levi Duncan, Managing Director, Element Concepts.  While still on site at The Boat Works, tour attendee Tom Loefler, CEO, Hullbot addressed the group on their new innovative startup company that is building robots to clean hulls to keep our oceans healthy.

The next stop was at award-winning Superior Jetties based at Arundel. The group toured the three onsite factories where the aluminium, plastics and concrete components for marina’s are constructed. Superior Jetties has recently invested in a second RotoMolder doubling their capacity to produce plastic molded components.

The last stop on the days’ activities was to visit Marina Mirage in Main Beach to see the newly refurbished Marina Mirage Marina. Managed by Luke McCaul of GC Marine, the marina showcases a stunning floating beach club – ‘La Luna’ and newly installed superyacht berths. The group heard directly from Matt Browning, Managing Director and Brad Allen, General Manager, both from GC Marine on the engineering challenges they tackled to construct the beach club. Attendees enjoyed a delicious lunch provided by GC Marine and spent time at ‘La Luna’ relaxing and networking while taking in the clear sea views over the Broadwater.
