Having founded Genevo Renewables in 2014, Damon has a strong background in the renewable energy sector, specifically commercial solar PV and energy storage systems.

Damon was an early pioneer of the utilisation of embedded energy storage systems (ESS) for commercial applications, having partnered with TAFE NSW to design and integrate Australia’s first smart ESS for demand charge management. Damon’s experience within the renewable energy sector coupled with his passion for innovation, sustainability and sailing, lead Damon to co-found Genevo Marine and the development of their first model the E8 with Andrew Davey.

Andrew and Damon have worked together for over a decade within the renewables sector and have leveraged their electrical engineering and boat building experiences into the development of Australia’s first production electric boat. Designed by award winning Naval Architect Misha Merzliakov, the E8 will be constructed with a proprietary composite hull utilising recycled carbon fibre and feature a powerful 400kW electric race motor.

Damon has presented at numerous industry events including the Australian Energy Storage Conference.
